Mark Wagner

President, Chief Executive Officer

Mark’s 30 years of experience and knowledge of the information technology needs in healthcare have proved invaluable to the growth of the company, founded in 2002. His commitment to recruiting and retaining only the best and brightest individuals throughout the company has created a lean, agile, responsive coding resource to provide healthcare facilities with extremely cost-effective remote coding solutions.

Jerry Mason

Executive Vice President

Jerry has vast experience in healthcare information management and delivery. He has been a key factor in defining and implementing the company’s various coding services, from PRN to Total Coding Partnership, which allow hospitals, clinics and physician groups to customize a partnership coding approach that best meets their needs, budgets and comfort levels.

Sarah Humbert

RHIA, ICD-10 AHIMA Certified Trainer, Vice President of Coding Operations

Sarah Humbert serves as the Vice President of Coding Operations for KIWI-TEK, where she oversees the company’s domestic coding services for hospitals, health systems and physician practices. She manages all coding processes, including coders’ performance, credentials and recurrent testing. Sarah ensures that every coder in the KIWI-TEK family has full-time, responsive corporate support, training and mentoring to help with any coding issue. She is a member of AHIMA, IHIMA and CHIMA, and she is also an AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS trainer. Prior to joining KIWI-TEK, Sarah worked in a variety of HIM positions for Health Care Excel, MedFocus and St. Vincent Health System.

Terri Adam

Sr. Regional Manager

After 30 years in healthcare and IT management, Terri attributes much of her success to being a great listener. Whether it’s a coding prospect or existing client, she doesn’t consider herself a sales person. She’s a listener. For only if she truly understands the client’s needs and wants, can she provide her expert counsel and serve as a collaborator in helping the client reach the best coding decision.

Ross Donewald

Regional Manager

Ross aims to make the lives of his clients easier by taking an impartial, objective, consultative approach. He learns as much as he can about your current organization and its coding particulars, then he works diligently to formulate a plan that will exceed your expectations. His ability to make sure you have the right coding solution to fit the precise needs of your facility will allow you to rely on KIWI-TEK as your trusted partner.

Bruce Rogers

Sr. Regional Manager

An advocate for clients, Bruce views his role as an extension of a facility’s coding department, providing advice and suggesting resources to make their coding more cost-efficient and productive. With KIWI-TEK’s coding experience and resources, Bruce can help a client’s coding function easily evolve to meet whatever workloads and specialties confront them.

Preston recognizes that every healthcare organization is different, with particular needs and challenges. When it comes to medical coding, no one size fits all. He is dedicated to developing unique coding solutions to fit each client’s individual requirements. A 35-year healthcare veteran, Bob is vice president of a healthcare consulting company and strategic partner of KIWI-TEK. Together they seek to reduce costs and discover creative ways to advance the quality of patient care for hospitals they serve. This strategic alliance has a proven track record of providing cost-effective, high-quality solutions that help hospitals improve patient documentation and consistently achieve appropriate reimbursement.

Jenni Garrett

RHIA, Coding Manager

During Jenni’s time with KIWI-TEK she’s received a wide range of experience in various coding specialties. She enjoys working with others to share her knowledge and also to expand her knowledge base. Jeni has a bachelor’s degree in Health Information Administration.

Christy Watts Craver

CCS, AHIMA approved ICD 10-PCS trainer, Coding Manager

Christy has been in the coding industry for nearly 18 years, serving as a Coding Manager at KIWI-TEK for over 11 years. In her previous role she specialized as an IP and OP coder at a large trauma/teaching facility. While at KIWI-TEK Christy has structured a multi-specialty management team focused on a proactive approach for both hospital and professional coding services. She has used her vast knowledge of network connection options, EMR’s and abstracting systems to manage large backlog resolution projects, system transition periods and complete outsource clients.

Charlene M. Laxson

CCS, Coding Manager

From CDM and data analysis to inpatient and outpatient coding to edit work and  clinical documentation improvement, Charlene has assisted with almost every area of the revenue cycle. Charlene loves a challenge and is dedicated to the client/vendor team aspect to achieve coding and quality goals.


Traci Hotard

RHIA, Coding Manager

Traci has a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the University of Louisiana. With over 20 years of HIM experience, Traci has been with KIWI-TEK for almost 10 years.


Catrena L. Lewis

CCS, CCS-P, CPCO, CPC, CIC, CPC-I, CRC, CHTS-PW, Audit & Education Manager

Her credentials say it all. Catrena is passionate about the business. Catrena is the Audit & Education Manager for KIWI-TEK, and brings over 19 years’ experience in the health information management industry. She currently manages all of our internal and external audit and education processes. She is frequently asked to speak at a variety of conferences and seminars annually, as well as presenting webinars on coding, billing, documentation improvement, and compliance. She is a former AAPC Local Chapter President and is an active FHIMA and AHIMA Volunteer.

Myriam Johnson

RHIA, Coding Manager

Myriam is RHIA certified with over 18 years of coding and management experience. She has a Bachelors Degree focused in Health Information Management from Middle Georgia State University and has been with KIWI-TEK for over 10 years.


Lana Skjolaas

CCS, Coding Manager

With over 14 years of coding experience and expertise in a wide range of coding specialties, Lana has been in management roles with KIWI-TEK for over 10 years. Lana has an associate‘s degree in applied science and a Certificate in Health Information Management from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Her current role as a coding manager also includes coder education, auditing, and assistance with revenue cycle functions. Prior to KIWI-TEK, Lana worked for Our Lady of Bellefonte in Russell KY, Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN and Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.


Lisa Peters

RHIA, Coding Manager

Lisa has been with KIWI-TEK over 12 years, with 10 years in a management position. With decades of experience in the HIM and coding specialties, Lisa always looks for better ideas, resources and methods to achieve set goals. Because she highly values the individual as well as the team, Lisa also believes in the importance of personal and professional integrity and quality communication in the pursuit of excellence.
